Architectural Eye-Catchers...

...P'burg edition.

Does anyone know if P'burg needs a copy editor for their historical plaques? ("grandeous"...really?) Although I see someone took the Wite-Out to the ill-advised apostrophe in "its"

  1. What a beautiful wrought iron fence! Those are my faves. When I was younger, a group of us would sometimes walk from the courthouse in Easton at lunch time just to marvel at the wrought iron fence by the church on Third Street. This looks so much like that one.

  2. I love the ones with the brass roses, Bernie. I'm always on the look out for these types of things, so I will add that church to my list!

  3. Bernie,
Actually I think you mean the wrought iron fence on the building across the street from the church on 4th and Ferry. And you're right, the fences are very similar with the grapes and leaves. I used to walk around town a lot when I was young and always made it a point to walk by that fence.
